What Blue Hippo is and how it works
What is Blue Hippo Tutor?
A browser-based AI tutor with voice and chat that helps Australian students in Years 7–12 understand concepts, work through problems step by step, practise reasoning and prepare for assessments. It is designed to guide students through their thinking with questions and steps, so they can understand the work.
Which subjects are supported?
Blue Hippo Tutor supports all subjects within Australian curricula for Years 7–12. Maths, English and Science are examples, not the limit of its subject coverage.
Does the tutor use voice and chat?
Yes. Voice and chat are part of the Blue Hippo tutoring experience, subject to the capabilities available in the delivered product.

Can Blue Hippo make mistakes?
Yes. AI guidance may be incomplete or incorrect. Students should check important work against teacher instructions, class materials and trusted sources.
Can it complete assessed work for a student?
No. Blue Hippo supports understanding, planning, reasoning and revision. It is not intended to produce submission-ready assessed work for a student.
Does Blue Hippo guarantee results?
No. Blue Hippo does not guarantee marks, mastery, perfect accuracy, risk-free use or official endorsement.
Free Trial
Account creation, activation and access
How do I receive the free trial?
Create an account and follow the validation link sent by email. Every activated account receives the free trial automatically.
Do I need payment details or a paid plan?
No. No purchase, checkout, payment details, paid plan, application, voucher or separate trial activation is required.
What happens after I activate my account?
Log in and start a tutoring session. If the validation email is delayed or the link is invalid or expired, use Help and Support.
Pricing
Plans, start dates, renewal and rollover
What paid plans are available?
Starter is $55 AUD for 5 hours over 30 days. Pre-Exam is $99 AUD for 10 hours over 30 days. Own the Term is $219 AUD for 30 hours over 90 days.
Do the paid plans renew?
Starter does not renew. Pre-Exam offers optional renewal at $99 AUD every 30 days and Own the Term offers optional renewal at $219 AUD every 90 days. Those renewal choices are selected by default and can be turned off before continuing.
When does a paid plan start, and does unused time roll over?
A paid plan starts on the purchase date unless you select a date within seven days of purchase. Unused tutoring time does not roll over beyond the plan period.
